The Trainer's EDGE is the second phase of a three-part "Train-the-Trainer" series. It is a required train-the-trainer course for Wood Badge and NYLT staffers, and helps to hone the skills of a Scouting trainer. It supplements the staff development process by polishing presentation skills and offering hands-on experience in a variety of presentation methods. of After completeing this course, trainers can staff Wood Badge and NYLT, or go on to more training with Master Trainer courses taught at national BSA volunteer training centers.
Who teaches it? Councils and Districts will typically offer the Trainer's EDGE as a one-day event.
Who takes it? Youth and adult Scouting trainers.
What do they learn? Practice techniques and skills to carry out effective training programs.
